The Budding Scientist Garden was designed with the help of Rachel Phillips and built by the Designs with Nature Team as part of the Chris Beardshaw Scholarship application. The theme of the scholarship was 'The Atom', and the garden offered a place for young enquiring minds to be stimulated by vibrant colours, shapes and fragrances. 

The garden combined traditional planting methods with a central nucleus for experimentation and observation, and a learning pod with new technology. Bug boxes and habitat houses nestled amongst the planting, and edible veg combined with companion planting to attract wildlife.
