Type: Contemporary town garden
Location: The Wintles, Bishops Castle
Status: Completed
Features: A bespoke Star gazers observatory with sliding roof. Curved lawn design, natural stone paving with blue brick edging, curved oak retaining wall, which as well as extending the planting space, added more levels to the garden and a flatter lawn. A sitting area, which was placed in a sunny, sheltered position with fantastic views.
Planting: Woodland and cottage garden plants. The client wanted more structure to the planting which had looked bleak in the winter and early spring, so we used plants like the bay and juniper to add structure and ferns and grasses for colour in winter.
"We are really pleased with it and have had quite a few opportunities in the nice weather to sit in our new seating area with big grins as we look at the transformation." - Martin & Ann
